Registration process

  1. Please fill out the form on this registration page. Space is extremely limited, with a set number of entries allocated per continent. More about this in the Race Regulations.

  2. Wire transfer the registration fee. Details on this site or in the FAQ below.

  3. To speed up the process, please send us a screenshot or picture of your registration fee transfer by email to ultragobiseries@gmail.com

  4. Upon receipt of your completed registration form and payment, we will send a registration confirmation email. In the event that the race sells out, your registration fee will be refunded in full.

    1. Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older.

    2. Physical Condition & Declaration: Within the past year, a medical examination must show that the participant does not have any of the following conditions: heart disease (including but not limited to congenital heart disease, rheumatic heart disease, etc.), myocarditis, coronary artery disease, severe arrhythmia, high blood pressure, cerebrovascular disease, diabetes with high blood sugar, or other iseases that make participation in the event inadvisable.

    3. Mandatory Requirement: To ensure adequate experience with nighttime running, participants must have completed at least one 100mile/160km (or longer) non-stop race between April 10, 2023, and April 10, 2025. The race must have been completed within the event's official cutoff time.

  • Men’s race record: currently held by Mr. Bryon Powell from USA, who finished the 2024 edition in 68:59:40.

    Women’s race record: currently held by Ms. Zheng, Junyue from China, who finished the 2024 edition in 79:43:19.

  • Weather in the Gobi deserts around Dunhuang in early to mid- October, is typically cool and dry, and there can be strong winds.

    The average temperature during this period is around 19°C (66°F), with highs reaching 28°C (82°F) and lows dropping to -3°C (26.6°F) at night.

    Temperature can change drastically in the Gobi deserts, with a 30°C (86°F) temperature change throughout the day.
