Mandatory & Recommended Equipment for 2025 Ultra Gobi 400 KM
Every runner at Ultra Gobi 400km must carry the required equipment at all times. These items are essential for safety, survival, and fair competition in the extreme conditions of the Gobi Desert and will be checked carefully before the start and during the race.

Experience Report: How John Du Found Strength Running the Ultra Gobi A Race
John Du (MBA ’19) stood on a barren stretch of the Gobi Desert and was very exhausted: four days of continuous running across 121 kilometers during the Ultra Gobi A race had humbled him.
“All the training in the world can’t prepare you for the extremes,” he recalls. From 30-degree temperature swings to sudden sandstorms, the Ultra Gobi A tested not only his physical endurance but also his mindset.

Official Participant List Announced - Here are the runners of the 2025 Ultra Gobi 400km
The 2025 Ultra Gobi 400km will bring together 59 runners from 14 countries across five continents. Among them are five “Dream Entry” runners, four “Great General” returnees from the pioneering 2014 test race, and 50 global entry athletes.

The Gobi Dreamer Program Has Launched - Who Will Claim a Free Entry Spot for Ultra Gobi 400km 2025?
For the first time, Ultra Gobi is offering five free entry spots through the new Gobi Dreamer Program. This initiative is for those whose personal story reflects the spirit of the race—growth, connection, and cultural exchange. Selected participants will have their €3,500 entry fee covered. Applications are open until May 14.
