Every runner at Ultra Gobi 400km must carry the required equipment at all times. These items are essential for safety, survival, and fair competition in the extreme conditions of the Gobi Desert and will be checked carefully before the start and during the race.

We are proud to present the official course map for the 2025 Ultra Gobi 400km. The map is drawn in the traditional style of ancient landscape art, blending cultural heritage with the spirit of modern endurance racing. You will find the links to download the GPS files at the end of the article.

The 2025 Ultra Gobi 400km will bring together 59 runners from 14 countries across five continents. Among them are five “Dream Entry” runners, four “Great General” returnees from the pioneering 2014 test race, and 50 global entry athletes.

The first ever Gobi Dreamer Program has come to an end. After carefully reading all applications, narrowing down the most inspiring stories, and gathering votes from those who know what it takes to complete the Ultra Gobi 400km, we're proud to introduce the five selected Gobi Dreamers for 2025.

Over the past decade, the Ultra Gobi 400km has challenged and inspired athletes from around the world. From its early editions to the most recent race in 2024, the event has seen extraordinary performances, perseverance, and unforgettable moments in the vast Gobi Desert.
