Media Registration for the 2025 ULTRA GOBI Series now open
The 2025 ULTRA GOBI Series is approaching, and we are opening applications for officially registered media partners.
We welcome leading domestic and international outlets to join us in covering one of the most challenging and unique endurance events in the world. Application period closes August 18, 2025.
To recognize different working formats, media registration is offered in two categories: On-site Registered Media and Online Registered Media.
I. Eligibility
Applicants must meet at least one of the following:
Television Media: National or provincial satellite TV channels with nationwide broadcasting capability and the ability to air ULTRA GOBI content.
Print Media: National or provincial newspapers or magazines with public circulation and significant regional or national influence.
Online Media: Major online portals (news, sports, finance, etc.) or high-traffic vertical websites.
Social Media: Accounts on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or similar platforms with over 10,000 followers or an average reach of 5,000+ views per post.
II. Coverage Requirements
All registered media must provide at least one of the following deliverables during the event period, depending on their category:
Television Media
Minimum of one news report (≥1 min)
Minimum of one feature or special segment (≥1 min)
Print Media
At least two news articles (≥800 words total for newspapers)
For magazines: at least two feature pages; for newspapers: one-third page of in-depth coverage
Online Media
Minimum of two news articles or photo/video stories
At least one exclusive video feature or documentary
Social Media
At least three in-depth features (interviews, trending topics, or headline coverage)
At least three real-time race updates
At least three race-related videos/reels
III. Media Services Provided
1. On-site Registered Media
Work Period & Locations:
Sept 29–30: Dunhuang, Gansu Province, China
Oct 1–10: Guazhou County, Gansu Province, China
Oct 11: Departure
Services:
Access to a dedicated media center for interviews, accommodation support, logistics, and information.
Special interview or filming requests coordinated by the organizing committee.
Daily briefings, press releases, and official photo/video materials.
Event footage or images may be used by the organizing committee with prior consent.
2. Online Registered Media
Work Period: Sept 29 – Oct 10
Services
Complete pre-event media kit (introduction, high-res photos, and videos).
Online media center with daily press releases and multimedia updates (sent by 22:00 Beijing Time).
Possibility to request customized interviews, exclusive footage, or additional materials in advance.
Standard daily media package for outlets without special requests.
IV. Quotas & Support
On-site Registered Media
Quota: 10 outlets (1 journalist per outlet; exceptions may be considered)
Support: Accommodation, local transportation, and full media services during the event
Online Registered Media
Quota: 50 outlets
Support: For special reporting projects with additional costs, limited financial assistance may be granted based on the quality and scope of the proposed content.
V. Application Process
Application Period:
Opens: August 8, 2025
Closes: August 18, 2025
Required Materials:
Media credentials (business license, platform screenshots, etc.)
Journalist details (portrait photo, name, ID, email, and other contact info)
Media introduction with audience reach statistics
Proposed coverage plan (format, schedule, distribution channels)
Review & Notification:
Applications will be reviewed by the organizing committee. Selected outlets will be notified via email or phone by August 20, 2025.
